Chet E. Swartzentruber, DMD
Originally from Indiana, Dr. Chet obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. After college, he volunteered with Engineering Ministries International for 6 months in Uganda, Africa. While there, on his birthday, he met a lovely engineer from Alabama. He says it was the best birthday present ever.
Marian and Chet were married, and both worked in Indianapolis for 4 years as engineers before moving back to Alabama. Chet's father-in-law, Dr. Robert Meador, is a dentist from Mobile, and he influenced Chet to go back to school.
At the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Dr. Chet served as the Vice President of his class and went on 2 international dental mission trips with Christian Medical Ministry of Alabama. He is currently an officer in the Second District Dental Society and is a member of the Alabama Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. He also donates his time to Donated Dental Services Alabama, part of the Dental Lifeline Network. The Swartzentrubers are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Marian and Chet have two children: Thad (5) and Paige (2). Thad loves baseball and attends Forrest Avenue magnet school. Paige is blessed with Down's syndrome and loves to dance to music.
Dr. Chet's practice philosophy hinges on relationships and quality. Day-to-day decisions and made keeping these two pillars in mind. He hopes to have the opportunity to create a relationship with you and share his passion for what dentistry has to offer.
